On the night of September 16, 2022 life changed. Again. He locked me in my bedroom and beat me more than I can remember. We weren\u2019t arguing about anything from what I can remember and that still bothers me. I went through almost 10 minutes of beatings while everyone else just listened. Until they finally didn\u2019t. Someone kicked my door open allowing me the opportunity to leave. Ha. He still managed to proceed on and give me two black eyes and a broken nose, make his way to the kitchen to grab a knife and came after me. I managed to escape from his sight long enough to call 911. But then the realization of the police coming caused him to calm down and manipulate me into believing he had no control. He was taken to jail that night. Bail revoked. Sentenced to 2.5 years in and 2 years probation. No parole. I\u2019m still trying to find my way through. As this was the absolute worst of many altercations we had. He\u2019s hung me over a bridge by my throat, tried to total my car while I WAS driving. And the list goes on. Thankful to have an amazing therapist but wondering everyday how people like this exist.
