Names have been changed to protect all involved.**<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the age of 20, I was introduced to an older man whom I eventually started dating. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We had only been dating for several months when he used reproductive coercion and sexual abuse and assault to impregnate me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My abuser had climbed on top of me, after promising to pull out, and ejaculated inside of me even after me repeatedly reminding him of our agreement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Intimidation and Sexual Abuse<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He then tried to intimidate and bully me into following through with the pregnancy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I knew I was not ready to be a mother, and was deeply concerned about the red flags I had already witnessed in only a few months of dating. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He was including jealousy, control, intimidation, threats, coercion, insults, etc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When I made the decision to terminate the pregnancy, he refused to drive me to the clinic and refused to pay for the procedure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Abuse Became More Frequent<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After I terminated the pregnancy, the abuse increased at an exponential rate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was only years later that I realized he had initially intended to trap me into a relationship with him by getting me pregnant. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Using insemination that was never agreed upon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Years later during an argument, he told me that if I had ever left him and we had children together, he would have taken the children away from me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Check These Resources:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/breakthesilencedv.org\/?p=19874\">Therapeutic Interventions for Healing From Domestic Violence<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/breakthesilencedv.org\/?p=19655\">The Hidden Impact of Teen Dating Violence<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/breakthesilencedv.org\/?page_id=13225\">Find Support with BTSADV<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/breakthesilencedv.org\/?page_id=16319\">Support Line<\/a><br><br><strong>Other Resources and Information:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/acfmain-stage.acf.hhs.gov\/ofvps\/fv-centers\">Resource Centers | The Administration for Children and Families<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehotline.org\/\">National Domestic Violence Hotline: Domestic Violence Support<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehotline.org\/get-help\/domestic-violence-local-resources\/\">Local Resources for Survivors | The Hotline<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Survivor Lynn **The following is written by a survivor of domestic violence, sexual abuse, and abuse.
