I made a choice not to be a victim of domestic violence anymore 10 months ago after 10 years of abuse. I kept most of it to myself because I was scared to ask for help. DO NOT BE SCARED TO GET OUT!!! I never thought I could get away from his control. I had a good friend help save me and I owe her so much for being there through it all, and giving me the strength to not return to the never ending abuse. I have been beat with belts, hit with vehicles, throw across parking lots, slapped, choked, knocked out, punched, thrown out of cars, kicked while I was pregnant… A decade of real abuse I tried to hide from everyone and was to scared to get help. Today I got help and I’m not scared anymore…
