Dennis Roberts Survivor Sister Story

Survivor Sister Dennis Roberts speaks out breaking her silence about domestic violence.

I was assaulted by my wife. I was struck in the side of my face with a home phone receiver by surprise. I have no witnesses. I went to our towns police department with no answer. I then went to the sheriff’s department and no answer there either. She denied being there at the time of the assault. The police came out the next evening but told me she denied being present and my wounds did not look fresh enough. I was awarded an EPO but upon going to court the judge looking at pictures of my face said she seen some scratches but nothing bad enough to warrant a DVO. My wife said she had witnesses but not present at the hearing. The judge told me I could always refile if something else happens. CPS briefly talked with our 7 yr old son but he didn’t see any of it so nothing there. My wife repeatedly told our son that I was a thief, a deadbeat. and so on for days. But none of that seem to come to light during the CPS meeting. Because I am a man the system doesn’t treat me as a victim. She is playing the victim now and they are believing her lies.
