**The following is written by a survivor of domestic violence, sexual abuse, and abuse. Names have been changed to protect all involved.**
At the age of 20, I was introduced to an older man whom I eventually started dating.
We had only been dating for several months when he used reproductive coercion and sexual abuse and assault to impregnate me.
My abuser had climbed on top of me, after promising to pull out, and ejaculated inside of me even after me repeatedly reminding him of our agreement.
Intimidation and Sexual Abuse
He then tried to intimidate and bully me into following through with the pregnancy.
I knew I was not ready to be a mother, and was deeply concerned about the red flags I had already witnessed in only a few months of dating.
He was including jealousy, control, intimidation, threats, coercion, insults, etc.
When I made the decision to terminate the pregnancy, he refused to drive me to the clinic and refused to pay for the procedure.
The Abuse Became More Frequent
After I terminated the pregnancy, the abuse increased at an exponential rate.
It was only years later that I realized he had initially intended to trap me into a relationship with him by getting me pregnant.
Using insemination that was never agreed upon.
Years later during an argument, he told me that if I had ever left him and we had children together, he would have taken the children away from me.
