Britney Bambace Survivor Sister Story

The man pictured here is from Peekskill, NY. It was east to fall in love with him because of his sweet, charming side, but in reality he is narcissistic & gas lights.

I dated Steven for three years. Dating from the age of 17 to now being 21. While together and even after, Steven was mentally, physically, verbally, and emotionally abusive. Steven denied the truth about the abuse. He would claim i was the toxic one and when I publicist came out about my story, he still drove everyone to know me as being toxic and crazy. He has an order of protection put against me, but still continues everyday to go out of his way to get me in trouble and call me toxic. Being so young and going through this while batteling school, work and everyday life is not the easiest. Keeping the abuse a secret from my friend, family and loved ones having to lie where i got the bruises from was especially difficult.
The pictures you see are from one instance of the physical abuse I endured. Not pictured are the times that he tried to strangle and kill me, beat me with a metal tool, and push me into my closet and damage my property. It was time to not keep silent anymore and to speak my truth for all those who are struggling and battling their abusers behind closed doors. As a social work major, my goal is to go out into the world and help ALL who are suffering from abuse and help them seek safety and not be afraid to share their stories. For anyone going through healing or seeking safety, I offer you all my support. You are not alone.
