My Story – Eyeness

Once upon a time a girl loved a man more than herself. She did everything he wanted always. They were so happy until one day the man was cruel, he told her she was stupid and made her cry, immediately he apologized and held her and she felt safe and loved. Then one day the man got bored, he was tired of her already but she wouldn’t stop loving him, so he decided he would make her stop. He went away for 2 weeks and when he came home she was still there, waiting like a puppy, but who was this with him? It was another woman, he said she’s here because of the things you don’t do and the girl was confused and hurt but she wanted to be loved so she said that’s ok even though it wasn’t. The new woman was treated the way he used to treat the girl, and she watched, hoping he’d see how much she suffered for him praying it would again be the way it was before, surely the more she suffered the more he would love her. And one day the man got bold. He tells the girl he and the new woman are going on a vacation together and the girl was to stay behind and make sure they had a home to come back to. The girl got mad, finally, she said no, this isn’t fair, you can’t do this! The man and his new woman fought with the girl overpowering her and dragged her backwards down 17 concrete steps to the cold concrete floor made colder by the Missouri autumn, there they zip tied her hands to a toilet in an unfinished room and stripped her clothes off and mocked her body that was scarred by motherhood. The man got arrogant and he taught the girl a lesson.
She got out of that unfinished basement. She screamed and cried and finally someone heard her!! The neighbors had heard her and called 911. When they broke the door down she girl screamed because she thought he had returned to end her life, they freed her from the binding physically but in her mind, she’s still in that room today, begging for help to an empty cold room.
