“Surviving and Thriving After a Life-Altering Assault: My Journey to Resilience” by Rachel W

I would like to say that I was with a man for a short time a few years and at the end I went thru some pretty tough times but the day I got hit did change my life I had no idea what was about to happen and it turned out he broke 9 bones in my face and also my jaw to where I now have to always have 16 screws holding my face together I have come along way but I also have to deal with medical issues beyond my type one diabetes and so I feel this was important for me to share with you because I want everyone to know that they are not alone and it’s okay to let others know that I went thru something like this. I no longer am around that person and I am grateful every single day I get to wake up cause I know I almost lost my life that day
