If you told me years ago I would join a running challenge, I would not believe you.
I was not a runner.
But this year is different.
This year, I am joining the Run4Her Challenge. And this is more than fitness. This is personal.
As a domestic violence survivor, every step matters. Every mile is healing. Every day is a choice to reclaim my power.
What Is the Run4Her Challenge?
The Run4Her Challenge is a 31-day movement.
You move one mile a day for 31 days.
You can walk, run, jog, move your body as you want.
This challenge is not about speed. It is about healing, hope, and awareness.
Run4Her was created to stand against domestic violence. It honors lives lost, supports survivors still fighting, gives survivors a voice.
Why Domestic Violence Awareness Matters
Domestic violence affects millions.
It isolates, silences, breaks confidence and safety.
But survivors are not alone.
Movements like Run4Her and Break the Silence Against Domestic Violence create community. They create change. They create hope.
These efforts also provide real support. Donations and participation help fund survivor scholarships. These programs help survivors rebuild their lives and their future.
If you or someone you know needs help, contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline for confidential support.
Why I’m Lacing Up
I am running for survivors, healing, those who can’t.
I am running to remind others: you are not alone.
Every mile is a message.
Your story matters. Your voice matters.
