He Tried to Kill Us

kill us

By Survivor Maritza

Two years ago, my friends and I were involved in an incident that was stemmed from domestic violence.

My close friend’s husband intentionally tried to kill her. He also tied to kill us while out one day. This man rammed a Jeep into us while getting out of the car.

I was lodged under the front part of the Jeep praying to myself that I will survive.

This man was responsible for this has left two women (including myself) with multiple injuries to the pelvis, abdomen, legs and bladder.

Surgeries to Heal

I personally, have had 8+ surgeries to try and realign my pelvis, skin grafts and knee surgery. It has been two years and I am still not myself and more than likely will never be the same.

I suffer every day mentally and physically while the person responsible is out freely living a normal life. I want to share this story with everyone to show that domestic violence may not be a relationship you are directly involved with but it can affect and even hurt the people you are close to.

Please do not stay silent, and find a the help that you deserve.

He Tried to Kill Us, but Couldn’t

Because my friend needed help, but didn’t reach out, her husband tried to kill us. Be brave because you never know what could happen to those around you and yourself.
