Betrayed by Kindness: My Shocking Story of Domestic Violence and Legal Injustice

The story of my domestic violence.
I accused my husband’s daughter of stealing my personal things in the house where my husband and I live…
My husband, defending his daughter, abruptly threw me on the bed and began to choke me. His hands were on my neck. The next day I went to the police to report what happened.
The policewoman told me: your husband is terminally ill and it is quite possible that he will spend his last years in handcuffs. I felt sorry for my husband, I did not file a statement! I came back in a dream and told my husband to never do that again! We are elderly people. We must take care of each other’s health! But my husband had a cunning plan, a couple of days later he went to the sheriff and filed a petition, where he indicated that I was incompetent, that I pushed him, kicked him, that he was afraid of me! The sheriff called me, showed the petition signed by my husband. and said that a restraining order had been issued against me! I was shocked, stressed! I have been helping my husband for the last few years since he was diagnosed with cancer. All his moans, all his visits to doctors, I accompanied him. My husband’s shameless lie. I did not file a complaint, I showed mercy and kindness, My husband is right, If he filed a complaint first!? And I am the defendant. In addition, I have no right to return to our house, I have been living in shelter for three months now. There have been several court hearings. The next hearing will be on September 5. He is 77 years old and seriously ill, and I am a victim of violence that must be constantly proven.
My kindness and mercy have turned against me. By Survivor
