My Story – Lyla

I got out, but not after he broke my eyesocket in 4 places, and not after he zip tied me and and kicked my skull on, and not after he chased me down and beat me in public, I got out after I finally had a plan. He left one morning and I snuck to my neighbor’s who hid me out till I could get on a bus and leave town! If I didn’t make a geographic change I wouldn’t have been strong enough to stay gone! Today I have a large dent in my forehead, a net in place of an eye socket, but today I am Survivor!
