My Story – Kelsey

I got with him thinking he was the greatest man I had ever came across. I got pregnant early into our relationship with our first child, and I left because I was scared for my own reasons. Once our first son turned 6 weeks old we got back together, things were great at first, he was a great dad to our son, and took in my daughter as his own, then our first son turned 12 weeks old and I got pregnant again by him with our second son, and that’s when things took a huge turn! He started belittling me, shoving me into walls, being mean to my daughter and our first son! Things did nothing but get worse, holding me down to bite the side of my face to where I had to wear make up for two weeks, he would hold me down and get on top of me to where I couldn’t breath. Then he slowly stopped helping me with our first son, and then turn around I was 7 months pregnant and he had my phone and I tried to get it out of his truck and he gassed it and drug me down the driveway. He stopped working, I was then working, plus taking care of my daughter and our young son waiting on the arrival of our second, he would laugh in my face and purposely not help me, to the point I was so exhausted and then he would drug me with sleeping medicine, and do whatever he wanted to do with me while I was passed out and god knows what else I still don’t know to the day the things he did to me while I was passed out! He had isolated me from all my friends and all my family. Our second son then was born, three days after he was born and I came home, leaving the hospital he made me carry everything out of the hospital including our newborn, and then 5 mins down the road I was in the passenger seat and he then punched me in the face! He never spent time with our second son. He held him maybe 7 times the first 3 months of his life. The abuse then got worse and started towards my daughter who was 6 he would prevent me from getting to her, and he would beat her with a belt and even threw her in her room and kept the door closed with a rope until she used the bathroom on herself. Our second son was about 8 months old and he picked him up by his ankle from his play pen to throw him outside, this is was the last time he ever hurt us physically. He started working out of town and I started planning my escape, I got all of mine and my children’s belongings out of the house and moved back home and filed a restraining order. But then it lead to me being harassed, stalked, he even threw me in jail over a false charge, that was 10 months ago. And to this day I still have problems but we no longer are abused, and mistreated!
